Re: Soljet
Found this brooch in the Laatokka area this spring. Has anyone seen anything like this? (Horseshoe brooch but with crucifix on top) I haven't seen anything similar. I would appreciate any info on this (i.e., date, place of origin, etc.)

There is at least two found from Finland and one in Estonia. Your find seems to have much more ornamental details.disallowed kirjoitti: ↑05 Kesä 2023, 01:10 Found this brooch in the Laatokka area this spring. Has anyone seen anything like this? I made photo-montage from all of them for comparison.
That Pirkkala brooch is in Finna museum database. https://finna.fi/Record/museovirasto.D5 ... 2993605629
I haven't found any real photos from that Estonia brooch. Drawing was taken from old archeology illustration book from J.R. Aspelin https://www.salakirjat.net/product/195/ ... ista-kuvaa
